Fur Oil: A Review

Happy Friday everyone! It's Mai here, with a review on a product that I've been putting to the test for the past week - Fur Oil

In case you aren't familiar, and haven't seen Fur's gorgeous glass globe-shaped packaging floating around your Instagram feed, Fur is a brand that was founded by 3 sisters who felt that the topic of body hair care was not being discussed within the beauty community. They felt that products that were available, were too harsh and full of chemicals.

Thus, Fur was born. A brand made up of natural body hair care products. They're changing the way men and women care for their body hair - a topic that most people shy away from.

Their Fur Oil - which is what I've been testing for the past week - is specifically marketed towards pubic hair and skin, but can also be used wherever else you see fit (ex: underarms, eyebrows, beards, chests, legs, your head hair, etc).

So, how do you use this and what is it going to do?

The site says to use this every day on clean skin and hair. It also says that this is great for using right after any sort of hair removal process. The formula of this oil is antiseptic, antimicrobial, and also reduces inflammation. Also something to note: if you hate oily residues, Fur has made sure that this product leaves no greasy feeling behind!

After consistent / frequent use, you should find that this oil prevents + treats ingrown hairs, softens hair, AND reduces overall inflammation. Perfect!

Aside from beautiful claims, this oil also has beautiful ingredients that are all natural and smell incredible. Main ingredients include: grape seed oil (soothes), jojoba oil (softens), clary sage oil (helps with inflammation), tea tree oil (helps with ingrowns / anti fungal / anti bacterial). You can find a full ingredient list on the site.

NOW, to the review.

*FUR was kind enough to send this oil my way in exchange for a review. However, all views here are 100% honest and not skewed by the fact that I received this product for free.*

As you can imagine, I was excited to put this to the test. Although my hair isn't extremely coarse and unruly to begin with, I do deal with ingrown hairs and irritation whenever I do anything to remove any sort of body hair. My main body hair removal techniques are shaving, waxing, and trimming.

I decided to test this out on my pubic hair (since that's what this product is marketed for specifically), but I also plan to try this on my eyebrows because they're out of control lol.

I used this every night after my shower, on dry, clean skin. The smell of the oil itself is very clean, with a light citrus undertone. It's a nice, thin oil that absorbs quickly, leaving behind soft hair and skin.

It didn't irritate me at all, it smells amazing, and I've encountered no issues since introducing this to my overly sensitive skin.

I'm really in love with this product, and highly recommend it to anyone that's suffering from irritated skin / ingrown hairs after hair removal.

I've heard some people say that they also use this on their cuticles, which I find really interesting! I'm going to try that as well. I also want to add this to my haircare routine by applying this to the ends of my hair.

Honestly, the options are endless with this oil. I'm in love and have adored having this on my top shelf for the past few weeks.

That's all for this review! I hope you enjoyed it! Let us know if you've tried FUR, or if this review has sparked your interest in the brand. We'd love to hear!
