PR Picks: Worth Repurchasing

Happy Monday! Dax here. To start off the week I'm going to go through a few products that were sent to me by brands for testing. We get a lot of PR products so here I've picked out some that I would definitely repurchase (with my own money). I think PR Picks will be a good running post that we can do every few weeks!

Nova Mineral Musk

As my fragrance collection grows, I'm having the opportunity to try out more and more scents. Some I like, some I probably wouldn't wear. I'm drawn to sweet scents like vanilla but also earthy and musky scents. Mineral Musk from Nova Perfume is the perfect musky scent for me. It's described as "aquatic" which I totally get. Maybe it's because I'm a water sign that I'm drawn to this aquatic scent hehe. It smells fresh, then musky, relaxing and reminds me of the beach somewhat.

Knours. Skin Meditation Gel Cream

Skin Meditation is a gel cream that Knours. suggested for me because of my oil/acne prone skin. I've been using this cream soooo much that I'm now trying to conserve it so I won't run out so fast. On application it is cooling and soothing which is great if you're breaking out or have dryness/irritation. It's good for during the day because it's lightweight so it won't make your face all shiny. I use one pump and that's enough to cover my face and neck. Gel creams are my favorite because of the texture. I prefer lighter creams to heavier ones, however, if I needed extra moisture I would probably go with a heavier one for night time.

Otherland Rattan Candle

I've only lit this candle a few times so far but the smell must be one of my favorites. Its notes are earthy with sandalwood and amber. Otherland's candles are affordable ($36), high quality and cute af. The packaging is worth saving and reusing as storage (like I did obviously) and the candle comes with a cover. I think all candles should come with covers honestly. I'm tired of paying $50-60 for a candle with no cover!! Hello!! Easy addition. Rattan is just one of their scents and it's left me eager to try more.

Korina Naturals Citrus & Eucalyptus Deodorant

Korina Naturals has introduced me to my new favorite deodorant. I decided to make the switch to a natural deodorant about a year ago but I hadn't noticed promising results until I tried this one. I struggled with the scent mostly because it didn't mask my BO enough lol. I was like uhh is this smell BO with a hint of vanilla? Anyways, Korina's is citrus and eucalyptus and smells great all day. If you want one for free (!!) you can go enter our giveaway on Instagram because two winners are going to get this deodorant as well as some other products from Korina Naturals. Get your entries in fast because the giveaway ends this Wednesday (April 11th, 2018).

Herbivore Botanicals Jasmine Green Tea Balancing Toner

I've been using this toner for a couple months and I recently posted a review about it. It still is my favorite toner and I'm going to be really sad when I run out! My skin loves the balance of ingredients that target different issues. It's gentle, not drying and doesn't have any scary ingredients in it. Toners have been hard for me to love until I tried Herbivore Botanicals :)

Frank Body Creamy

Face Scrub

I mentioned in my mini review on Instagram that I don't normally like physical exfoliants. I do prefer my AHAs and BHAs for exfoliating, but something was different with this scrub. It didn't feel rough on my skin due to its creamy texture. The scrub part comes from the coffee granules which perfectly buffs all dry skin away. Let me say that!! Yum. Just imagine how it smells :) It also has white clay, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, almond oil and rosehip oil. Rosehip oil is my favorite for fading scars as well as having anti-aging properties.

Youth To The People Superberry Hydrate & Glow Oil

This oil that was recently launched by YTTP is also my favorite oil to date. It's a lightweight oil (which are my favorite kinds) that absorbs quickly and easily into my skin. It doesn't sit on my skin forever and make me look greasy like thicker oils do. It actually gives me a great dewey glow that I've been searching for forever. Because I have oily skin, I have to take anything that says it'll make me "glow" or give me a "dewey finish" with a grain of salt. Most of the time it just makes me look more oily, but not with this one! I apply it every morning, something I would've usually avoided doing with any other oil.

Billie is a game changer for shaving. It's so affordable and the quality is impeccable (did I just use that word?). The razor comes with a magnetic holder that you can stick wherever you want and your razor will hang freely not building up rust or grossness. Gross razors are the worst. They have a shaving cream as well as a body wash that you can use for shaving. Their Sudsy Body Wash is particularly interesting to me because it saves me time. Wash your body, then skip the shaving cream because the body wash doubles as one! It lathers up enough to shave with and doesn't dry out your skin like a normal body wash would if you shaved with it.
